Conference recording and video hosting.
Recording an event means, for us: several cameras capture the talk, the panel, the presentation and the audience, the cut is made during the recording, and the video is then provided cookie-free on European servers with access protection.
Most events take place once and are then forgotten. If you have an event recorded, the same content later also reaches those who could not attend on the day.
KREATV records conferences, meetings, training sessions and board meetings with several cameras. We then provide the videos on European servers, cookie-free, with access protection and without advertising.
If the event is also to be broadcast live or broadcast with a delay, the route is via live streaming production. The set-up on site is the same for recording and broadcast.
The recording
- Several cameras, one director. The cut between lectern, audience and presentation is made during the recording. That is why the recording is ready after days rather than weeks.
- Sound as a discipline of its own. Wireless microphones, boundary microphones, the feed from the venue's sound system, questions from the audience. Whether a recorded talk is usable depends on the sound. People accept a soft picture, but not an unintelligible question from the floor.
- Presentations integrated cleanly. Slides are taken directly from the source instead of being filmed off the screen. What is on the screen is legible in the recording.
- Backed up twice. The programme is recorded on two recorders in parallel. If one fails, the second backup is there.
- The raw material belongs to you. Each camera also records a 4K clean feed, and the sound is recorded as WAV in separate tracks. On request you receive all the material on a hard drive, also as an editing project with synchronised tracks.
- The programme is recorded in Full HD. This is the resolution in which the mixers we use output the programme signal; delivery uses adaptive bitrate.
GDPR-compliant video hosting: cookie-free, European, protected
After the recording, two questions remain: where the video is kept and who may watch it.
- Cookie-free and hosted in Europe. Hosting runs via ignite, a European provider: encoding and storage take place in Europe, no cookies are set and no consent banner appears before the video.
- Access protection. Password-protected, unlisted or publicly accessible, depending on content and audience. Internal training and board statements need something different from a public specialist talk.
- Your player. Colours, controls and branding follow your design. There are no third-party logos, no advertising and no video recommendations after the end. With specialist content in particular it would be annoying if some unrelated video started automatically afterwards.
- Embed it where your audience is. The video is stored in one place and can be embedded in a website, intranet, customer portal or learning platform.
- The account is in your name. So the archive and the data stay with you, even if you later have someone else produce for you.
Your protected media library page
If you cannot provide a protected page at short notice, we set it up: in your corporate design or neutral, with your texts and password protection. Different access for different groups is possible. You need neither your IT department nor access to your CMS.
Subtitles
German subtitles are corrected by hand: automatic recognition reliably fails on names, companies, brands and technical terms, exactly the words that matter. A misspelt name stays visible as long as the video is online. A list of terms from you in advance noticeably reduces the correction effort.
The platform generates translations into many languages, English included, automatically; on request we have them checked by native speakers. This way an event recorded in German can later reach an international audience without a second day of filming.
Subtitles are part of digital accessibility. This concerns organisations covered by the European Accessibility Act and everyone who watches videos without sound.
Three typical cases
- The specialist conference. Two days, several parallel sessions, an international audience. The conference recording is edited and provided in a protected media library. Participants catch up on what they missed, and those who were not there book for the following year.
- Internal training. Produced once, available permanently. New employees see the same briefing as everyone before them, without anyone having to give it again.
- The meeting that needs a record. Supervisory board, committee, public consultation. Recorded as evidence of what was said, accessible to a precisely defined group.
How it works
- Preliminary call. Format, number of cameras, sound, presentation feed, and the question of who should watch the recording later.
- Check on site. Camera positions, lighting, sound pick-up, power supply.
- Recording. Multi-camera direction during the event, backed up twice.
- Post-production. Editing, opening and closing credits, subtitles on request.
- Provision. Uploaded, protected, embedded. You receive the addresses and access details.

Who produces
Behind KREATV is Jens Achtert, master photographer, producer and director with 35 years of professional experience and many years of experience as a sound engineer, awarded the Master Craftsman Prize of the Bavarian State Government and a state-certified teacher of photography and film.
From the first call to delivery you speak to the person directing the production. For sound, simultaneous interpreting or large-scale lighting we put together a team of specialists we have worked with before for each production.

Frequently asked questions
How many cameras make sense?
For a talk with a presentation, two are usually enough: one on the speaker and one on the audience, with the slides taken directly from the source. For panel discussions and board meetings, three make sense. We clarify this in the preliminary call based on the room.
How long until the recording is available?
Because the cut is made during the recording, usually a few days. Without post-production the recording is available the same day.
Who can watch the recording?
Exactly the group you define. Password-protected, unlisted or public, and this can differ from video to video within the same media library.
Is the video hosting GDPR compliant?
The hosting sets no cookies, encoding and storage take place on European servers, your viewers see no consent banner, and you receive view counts only, with no personal analytics. A data processing agreement can be concluded with the provider; since the account is in your name, you conclude it directly. The final assessment for your organisation is made by your data protection officer.
Can we embed the videos in our intranet?
Yes. Website, intranet, customer portal or learning platform: the video is stored in one place and appears wherever you need it.
And if we do not have a suitable page?
Then we set it up: a protected media library page in your corporate design or neutral, with your texts and password protection. At short notice and without your IT department.
Can an event recorded in German get English subtitles?
Yes. The German subtitles are generated automatically and corrected by hand. The platform generates translations into many languages, English included, automatically; on request we have them checked by native speakers. We do not offer subtitles for live broadcasts, because the methods have not been tested enough.
Can we see how often a video was watched?
Yes, you receive view counts. There are no personal analytics of individual viewers; these would not be compatible with cookie-free hosting.
In what resolution do you record?
The programme is recorded in Full HD, with adaptive bitrate for delivery. In addition, each camera records a 4K clean feed, and the sound is recorded as WAV in separate tracks.
Do you record events outside Germany?
Yes, throughout Germany and in neighbouring European countries. Travel is listed as a separate item in the offer.
How much does a recording cost?
That depends on length, number of cameras and post-production. The provider invoices the hosting costs directly to you, since the account is in your name. After a preliminary call you receive an offer describing all agreed services; travel and the sound engineer are listed separately. If something is added during preparation, such as more microphones or additional equipment, we discuss it with you and you commission it separately. You only pay for what you have commissioned.
How much lead time does a recording need?
At least two weeks. During this time we clarify the schedule, venue and team. The earlier you enquire, the safer the date.
What happens if you are unavailable yourself?
A colleague then takes over the production on the same terms. Equally equipped colleagues are also on standby for sound and lighting.
Are you insured?
Yes. KREATV has business liability insurance.
What applies if an event is cancelled or postponed?
The full terms are set out in the offer. In short: if you cancel up to eight weeks before the date, we charge 15 % of the fee, and the share then rises in stages. Third-party services already booked that can no longer be cancelled free of charge are added. A postponement is free of charge once if notified up to four weeks in advance and the new date is within twelve months. In the event of force majeure or an official ban, we postpone free of charge. If we are unable to attend, a colleague takes over on the same terms.
